The Junior Hadassah Convention here today established a $15,000 War Emergency Fund for youth needs in Palestine and pledged itself to apportion a like sum for Youth Aliyah to aid new settlements, schools and general youth welfare.
At a Sabbath dinner tonight, inaugurating celebration of the 80th birthday of Henrietta Szold, Mrs. De Sola Pool, president of Hadassah, likened the spirit animating Miss Szold to that of the Hebrew prophets. The delegates adopted a declaration paying tribute to Miss Szold and expressing the hope she will serve as a noble example to the young women of Israel.
