Kaplan Again Heads N. Y. Civil Service Commission

Abraham Kaplan, president of the Municipal Civil Service Commission for ten years, was again elected to that post. By his re-election Mr. Kaplan sets a record for he is the first chairman of the Commission to have held the office so long. He is a former state senator, having defeated ex-attorney-general Albert Ottinger for that post. Mr. Kaplan is a prominent Tammany leader and active in the National Democratic Club.
