King of Morocco Decorates Two Jewish Physicians for Serving in Congo

Two Jewish doctors who served with the Royal Moroccan Army in the Congo were reported today to have been personally decorated by King Hassan II in a ceremony at Meknes. The two physicians are Dr. Emile Chekoury of Casablanca and Dr. E.G. Joseph of Marrakech. They received directly from the King medals citing them for “courage and endurance. “
