Klutznick, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, today praised the Hebrew University for training experts from the new countries of Africa, and Asia and creating in the process “a bridge of mutual understanding and sympathy” for “the war against ignorance, poverty and disease. “

He spoke at the tenth annual awards luncheon of the “Women’s Division of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, at which the division’s “Women of the Year” award was presented to Mrs. Katherine Louchheim, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs of the U. S. State Department for her work and leadership in national and international affairs.
