Kosher Service Makes Its Initial Bow Aboard Holland-american Liner

The Holland-American Line has launched its new kosher service.

It was announced that a committee of three rabbis under the leadership of Rabbi Elizer L. Gartenhaus of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis will supervise and inspect the kosher kitchens of the line. A mashgiach will be in constant attendance.

The entire kitchen will be Jewish, even to the waiters, dishwashers and other kitchen help. For Saturdays the food will be prepared in advance and kept hot on special apparatus.
