Groups of Kurdish Jews from the town of Rezaye, in Iran, are crossing the nearby Turkish border and making their way to this city, en doute to Israel. Some 300 Kurdish Jews arrived in this manner this week and another 500 are expected soon.
This arrangement was made possible as a result of a recent arrangement between the Turkish Government and the Israel legation here. During their stay in this city the immigrants are sheltered in a synagogue.
