Lansbury Asks Pontiff to Call Parley of Religions

George Lansbury, laborite leader and peace advocate, today wrote to Pope Pius XII urging him to call religious leaders of the world, “including the leaders of Judaism,” to a conference in Jerusalem at Easter to discuss how to bring pressure on the statesmen of the world to end the present “insane march of destruction.”
