The Yivo Institute for Jewish Research announced today it has been awarded a $75,000 grant by the Labor Council, representing the leading labor groups in the clothing industry, for a three-year project involving the recording of the experiences of the leaders of the Jewish labor movement in this country.

The project, which has already been started by Yivo, will make available to historians of the Jewish labor movement in the United States, recorded tapes and transcribed records of the personal experiences of the pioneers of the movement.
