Jerusalem’s largest secondary school, the Denmark High School, was dedicated here yesterday at ceremonies attended by dignitaries of Israel and Denmark and a delegation of American donors representing the United Jewish Appeal’s Israel Education Fund which financed the school’s construction. The school, located in the Katamon quarter, received its name in tribute to the Danish people who rescued Denmark’s Jews from Nazi deportation 25 years ago.
Speaking at the ceremonies were Zalman Aranne, Minister of Education and Culture, and Denmark’s Minister of Welfare Mrs. Natalie Lind. Also present was Mayor Teddy Kollek of Jerusalem and Aryeh L. Pincus, chairman of the Jewish Agency.
