The weekend death toll in Palestine disorders rose to eight this afternoon when a Jewish auxiliary policeman and an Arab were killed. (Another Jewish policeman and four Arabs were slain earlier in the day, and a Jewish laborer was killed yesterday.)

Policeman Isaac Gleicher was killed at the Gan Shmuel settlement near Hedera. a band attacked two Arabs on the way to Hebron, killing one of them and seriously wounding the other. another band attacked a police patrol near Sarafend, wounding a British constable.

Curfew was lifted in Haifa although a bomb was thrown on Kingsway, scene of a sanguinary bomb and clash in which 28 persons were killed two weeks ago. today’s bomb caused no damage, nor did another thrown at Hadar Hacarmel. police erected barbed-wire barricades at all entrances to the Haifa bazaar, where additional Jewish shops had been looted and wrecked. A Jew, Saul Weizel, 21, was shot and seriously wounded between Tel Aviv and Mikvei Israel. The Arab assailant escaped.
