M. Kiselis, a non-Jewish Latvian official who speaks Hebrew and Yiddish influentially, was appointed today an inspector of the Latvian police force.
The Jewish population of Latvia was highly pleased at the news of his appointment, since Mr. Kiselis is known for his friendly attitude toward Jews.
