Latvian prosecutors are appealing a decision not to issue a warrant for the arrest of a Latvian-born man alleged to have committed World War II-era crimes. The warrant is necessary for the Baltic nation to seek the extradition from Australia of Konrad Kalejs, who allegedly committed atrocities while a member of the Latvian security police during the war.
