Leaders of Canada’s Indian population will travel to Israel and Jewish leaders will visit Canadian Indian areas to heal wounds following recent anti-Semitic comments by a Canadian Indian leader. Trying to undo the damage done by Indian Nations leader David Ahenakew’s anti-Semitic comments, two leaders from the Assembly of First Nations — Matthew Coon Come and Perry Bellegarde — visited with representatives of B’nai Brith Canada and the Canadian Jewish Congress earlier this week.
