Leaders of religious groups in Europe called on the European Union to take a larger role in teaching tolerance. The call came Wednesday in a meeting in Brussels between the leaders, who included representatives of the Conference of European Rabbis and the World Jewish Congress, and Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, president of the European Commission.
