Leaders of the Druze and Christian communities in Israel have joined forces to prevent the spread of the ethnic and religious strife in Lebanon to Israel. At the urging of Israeli police, the two communities have established a committee to take action at the slightest manifestation of tension between local Druze and Christians. This development followed the stoning of a Christian house in Druze. It was the third such incident in Galilee in recent days. There have been no casualties.
