Leaders to Honor Abraham Golbdberg

Fifteen leading Jewish organizations are sponsoring the celebration of the fiftieth birthday of Abraham Goldberg, writer, orator and Zionist leader, at the Town Hall, Sunday evening, March 25.

Among the groups united for the testimonial to Mr. Goldberg’s lifelong service to various Jewish causes are the Zionist Organization of America, the Jewish National Fund, Hadassah, American Palestine Campaign, the Order of the Sons of Zion, the Mizrachi Organization, Avukah, Young Judea, Jewish Legion, and the Federation of Polish Jews in America. Louis Lipsky, national chairman of the American Palestine Campaign, heads the jubilee committee; Sigmund Thau is treasurer; Harry J. Kahn secretary, and Morris Margulies, secretary of the Zionist Organization of America, is chairman of the arrangements committee.

Many persons prominent in literary and artistic circles and public endeavor are among the 500 persons who sponsor the celebration. Some of them are: Joseph Barondess, Herman Bernstein, former United States Minister to Albania; Dr. Joshua Bloch, head of the Jewish division of the New York Public Library; Reuben Braining, Abraham Cahan, editor of the Forward; Rabbi J. I. Cohen, Dr. A. Coralnick, Jacob de Haas, Bernard S. Deutsch, Aldermanic President; Congressman Samuel Dickstein, William Edlin, Dr. Joseph Eron, Jacob Fishman, managing editor of the Jewish Morning Journal; Professor J. Ginzberg, Rabbi Wolf Gold, Dr. Israel Goldstein, Mrs. Rose Halprin, president of Hadassah; Harry Hershfield, Samuel C. Lamport, Rabbi Israel H. Levinthal, Judge Julian W. Mack, Hirsch Manischewitz, Rabbi M. S. Margolies, Judge Mitchell May, Emanuel Neumann, David Pinski, Rabbi David de Sola Pool, Hillel Rogoff, Dr. A. J. Rongy, Judge Otto A. Rosalsky, Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach, Samuel I. Rosoff, Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America; Dr. I. M.
