Leading senators want the United States to oppose Saudi Arabia’s efforts to join the World Trade Organization. A letter initiated by Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) says the Saudis must crack down on funding of terrorist groups and renounce the Arab League boycott of Israel before Saudi Arabia can get the special trading status associated with the WTO.
