The Stuttgart Zeitung, one of West Germany’s leading dailies, warned today that “not a single German rocket expert” should be responsible for “producing weapons against the Jewish people.”
The editorial declared, in the developing controversy over the presence of West German scientists and technicians in offensive weapons development in Egypt, that the West German Government “should not hesitate publicly to put this question” to the scientists “before it is morally compelled to do so.”
