Governor Herbert H. Lehman and Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia yesterday joined the committee of sponsors for “The Romance of a People” at the Roxy Theatre beginning September 6. Twenty-five per cent of the receipts will be donated to the Federation for the Support for Jewish Philanthropic Societies.
