Lehman Returns to United States, Brazil to Supply Textiles to Unrra

Director General Herbert H. Lehman of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration has returned to the United States and is in Washington following a seven weeks absence most of which he spent in London with a ten day trip to the Continent during which he visited Paris. Mr. Lehman will give a press conference here tomorrow.

Brazil is about to begin supplying 45 million yards of textiles for clothing distribution overseas by UNRRA, Laurence Duggan, UNRRA’s Special Diplomatic Advisor announced here. Duggan has just returned from a tour of 16 Latin-American countries, including Brazil, together with Dr. Eduardo Santos, UNRRA Deputy Director General.
