Leila Seigel, the International Council of Jewish Women’s representative here, has been elected vice chairperson of the Non-governmental Organization (NGO) subcommittee an the status of women. The Council has consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Committee. Ms. Seigel was previously the English secretary and convener of the working group on women and employment in the Economic and Social Committee.
