Mrs. Lena Kaplan, a founder of Hadassah and longtime leader of the women’s Zionist organization, died here yesterday. The wife of Rabbi Mordecai M. Kaplan, noted Jewish philosopher and founder of the Reconstructionist movement, Mrs. Kaplan was active in a number of civic groups including Irviah, a women’s organization active in the field of Jewish education, and the Children’s Welfare League.
