Lifts Ban on Polish Jews of Military Age Passing Through Germany to Israel

American military authorities in Germany, who ? to now have not allowed Polish Jews between the ages of 18 and 45 to proceed ## Poland to Israel via Germany have revoked this policy and are granting transit ## to Israel-bound Polish Jews, it was reported here.

As a result of the A.M.G.’s earlier restrictions, Jews from Poland en ## to the Jewish state were compelled to go to France via Switzerland and Austria in plane. In some cases, prospective immigrants were sent from Poland to Italy ## the Israeli legation here. However, lifting of A.M.G.’s Dan now makes it ##ible for Polish Jews to proceed directly to Marseilles, for transshipment to Israel, via the overland route.
