Linda Grant, a columnist with Britain’s Guardian newspaper, won the Orange Prize for fiction for “When I lived in Modern Times,” a novel set in Tel Aviv as Israel was being created. The prize was created in 1996 to promote women writers.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
