Lionel R. Bauman, New York attorney and real estate investor, was today elected national president of the American Friends of the Hebrew University by the board of directors of the organization.
Mr. Bauman’s public activities have been centered primarily in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the American Friends of the Hebrew University. He is a member of the university’s board of governors–its supreme authority in all fields of major policy. Prior to his election as president he served as vice president of the American Friends and as a member of its board of directors. He was born in New York City.
