An official denial was issued today by the Lithuanian government of a report circulated by the Polish news agency that the Lithuanian police murdered sixteen Jews in the Vilna district, when they attempted to cross the frontier to visit the Jewish cemetery in Ligomjani on Monday, September 17.
There is no foundation for this report, according to the Lithuanian government.
