The Cabinet and the Diet of Lithuania are in deep disagreement over the decision of the Diet to abolish the Ministry for Jewish Affairs. As a result of the protests of the Jewish population the Lithuanian Cabinet has taken up the matter again, and decided at today’s session that the decision of the Diet is against the Lithuanian Constitution.
It was announced that the Jewish Ministry would be re-established shortly.
