Among the winners in the Irish Sweepstakes is Rabbi Abramsky, successor to Chief Rabbi Kook as spiritual leader of the Machzike Das Congregation here.
Rabbi Abramsky was formerly in Minsk, where his arrest by Soviet authorities created a furore in Jewish circles abroad. The $2,000 won by Rabbi Abramsky will be used to bring his sons from the Soviet Union, he announced.
