Voicing approval of the Government’s decision to send more troops to Palestine, an editorial in the Times today points out that restoration of order is only a preliminary to enable the Royal Commission to start its investigation.
Police measures, the Times declares, will not solve the Arab problem and suspension of immigration would only result in further complications.
Stating the Government is equally responsible for the present situation in the Holy Land, the editorial urges the Royal Commission to investigate current administration methods, and expresses the hope that it will find remedial measures which may be studied by the Government in a constructive and impartial spirit.
