Lost Jewish Member of “italia,” Luzatt’s Grandson

Aldo Pontremoli, the lost Jewish member of the Italia crew who participated in Nobile’s expedition for the purpose of carrying on scientific observations, is a grandson of the late Italian Jewish statesman Luigi Luzatti. Pontremoli’s mother was the daughter of the late Italian Prime Minister.

Pontremoli studied at Cambridge under the great physicist Prof. Sir Ernest Rutherford. Prof. Albert Einstein was also acquainted with Pontremoli’s scientific work, which he admired, it was stated here.
