More than $125,000 was raised this evening for the America-Israel Cultural Foundation at a benefit show in New York’s Madison Square Garden, held in honor of Judge Nathan R. Sobel. The presentation was the 12th annual “Music Under the Stars” concert of the Foundation which supports cultural activities in Israel.

Principal speakers at the concert were City Council President Abe Stark and Samuel Rubin, president of the Foundation. Mr. Rubin described Judge Sobel as “a civic leader and warm-hearted philanthropist who has long been a devoted supporter of Israel’s cultural institutions and the development of cultural exchange between the United States and Israel.”
