A $100,000 memorial fund to support Judah L. Magnes Fellowships in commemoration of the “character, attainment and ideals” of the late president of the Hebrew University, was announced here today by the New York Community Fund. Mrs. Frieda Schiff Warburg, widow of Felix M. Warburg, is the founder of the Fund.

The Fellowships are to apply in the field of medicine and allied sciences. It is the purpose of the Fund to enable students and physicians residing in Israel to continue their studies abroad, if they assume a moral obligation to return to teaching, research and practice in Israel at the end of their Fellowship terms. Candidates will nominated by the governing body of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School.
