Major Abraham S. Hyman, Assistant Adviser on Jewish Affairs to the American Military Government in Germany since Aug. 1946, has been appointed Acting Adviser on Jewish Affairs to John J. McCloy, United States High Commissioner for Germany, it was announced this week-end.
Major Hyman was designated with the approval of the Department of State and the Department of the Army. His appointment was hailed by former adviser on Jewish Affairs Harry Greenstein as a “well-merited promotion for the highly successful skills Major Hyman displayed in his former post.”
