Major Sir Brunel Cohen, a famed Jewish legless veteran of the First World War, and member of the House of Commons for 13 years, died here yesterday at the age of 79. Born in Liverpool, Major Cohen lost both legs in action in the war. He was elected to Parliament in 1918 and after his retirement from the House in 1931 he held various Government posts. He was knighted in 1943.
