League circles expressed the belief today that the Mandates Commission report on the British White Paper on Palestine may be issued on August 10. The Commission’s report, it is understood, has been censored by Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald. This is the first time that a League report has been blue-pencilled by a Government which is an interested party and certain circles wonder whether the document will, as a result, contain a full picture of the cross examination to which MacDonald was subjected during the closed sessions of the Mandates Commission meeting.
