The continuation of the three percent quota law which limits the number of aliens admissible to the country, and which expires June 30 next, is recommended in the report of the Committee on Immigration of the National Association of Manufacturers made public today. The Committee is headed by C. S. Ching of the United States Rubber Company.
The report recommends further that a qualified commission be appointed to compile immigration facts and report recommendations for a permanent immigration policy, fixing both quantity and quality of immigration to be permitted. The Committee favors the “establishment of a flexible administrative control to meet economic conditions, provide rational exceptions to the general policy and meet specific cases of injust ice.
