Many Cities Open Appeal Drive Today

The activities of the United Jewish Appeal of this city will be spurred by two rallies to be held tomorrow in preparation for the official launching of the $200,000 Philadelphia drive for the Joint Distribution Committee and the American Palestine Campaign on May 12.

Prof. Norman Bentwich, associate on the League of Nations High Commission for Refugees will speak at a Big Gifts Dinner to be held at the Locust Club. On the same day Mrs. Lessing J. Rosenwald and Mrs. Morris Wolf, cochairmen of the women’s division of the Philadelphia campaign, will sponsor a women’s division meeting at which the speaker will be Mrs. Norman Bentwich.
