Harvey Mann, president of the Bayer Company here, said that the American company had no connection with Germany, but had been purchased from the Alien Properties Custodian of the United States after its seizure during the World War. He also said there was no policy in effect regarding “non-Aryans” and added that “we have many of them working here.” According to the non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League, the profits of Bayer Aspirin sold here ultimately are sent to Germany. The anti-Nazi League held that the American Bayer Company was connected with the German dyes trust.
