A new fire broke out today in Galatz. Scores of houses have been totally destroyed and the lack of water makes the situation catastrophic because there is little hope of the conflagration being extinguished shortly. Unofficial estimates of the damage thus far total 8,000,000 lei. The Jewish hospital in Galatz is full of the injured victims.
