The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today that large numbers of Jews, including residents of Tunis, Egypt, Algiers, Turkey and Greece, have volunteered for service with the Italian expeditionary forces in Ethiopia.

A special legion stationed at Sabaudia and comprising volunteers from lands outside of Italy includes a number of Jewish officers. Major Lionello Attias, a Tunis Jew, commands a battalion in this legion and is second in command of the legion. Among the volunteers is a young rabbi, Catarinas Salomne.
