Mapai teachers will hold a commanding position in the national teachers conference scheduled to be held here during the Passover recess as a result of election of delegates.
In the final vote totals published today, the Mapai slate received 38 percent of the total and five percent from Arab teachers. The next closest bloc of votes, 20 percent, was captured by the United Religious Party, while the Mapam received 13 percent, Achdut Avodah 12 percent. Progressives 5 percent, Herut 5 percent and 2 percent for the Religious Labor group.
