The possibility of the Mapam Joining the Israeli Government coalition was held out here today by Dr. Josef Burg, deputy speaker of the Israeli Khesseth, who is on a tour of Europe studying parliamentary procedure in Britain and elsewhere.

Dr. Burg, who is a representative of the Religious Bloc, conditioned this development on the Mapam’s continuation of its representatives on the executive of the Histadruth, a move which the left-wing party is now studying.

The Hapoel Hamizrachi leader said that during his recent visit to Vienna he was impressed by the heavy stream of emigrants from Eastern European countries endeavoring to reach Israel before migration from their countries of origin is completely barred.
