Two Jews have been included in the new Italian Cabinet formed yesterday by Marshal Badoglio, thus putting an end to the Fascist anti-Jewish laws under which Jews in Italy were barred from holding government positions.
The two Jews chosen by Marshall Badoglio are Guido Jung and Mario Fano. The first was appointed Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and the second was given the post of Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Post Office and Telegraph. Signor Jung is one of the most prominent Jews in Italy and at one time was a member of the Fascist Party. He is highly trusted by Marshal Badoglio who is acting in the new cabinet as Premier and Foreign Minister.
