Martin Indyk, the current U.S. ambassador to Israel, is expected to join the Brookings Institution in September as a senior fellow in its Foreign Policy Studies Program. Indyk served as assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs under President Clinton and was the founding executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
