(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The view that members of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations are not appointed according to nationality but exclusively on their abilities as colonial experts is taken by the Commission. It was therefore decided to report to the Council favoring an increase in the membership of the Commission. Leave was also granted the Council to appoint an expert of German nationality if the Council so desires.

It is expected that Deputy Heinrich Schnee of the German Reichstag will be appointed by the Council for the next meeting in the Fall. Dr. Schnee was the governor of German East Africa from 1912 until the British occupation.
