McDonald’s restaurants in Israel are succumbing to their chief competitor’s practice of flame-broiling burgers. After opening its kosher chain in Israel, McDonald’s acknowledged that the practice used by Burger King worked better on kosher meat. However, McDonald’s intends to continue using flat griddles for making its burgers in the rest of the world.
