Joseph E. McWilliams, chief of the rabidly anti-Semitic Christian Mobilizers, has been subpoenaed to appear before the House Committee Investigating un-American Activities, Chairman Martin Dies told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today.
Dies said he hoped to begin hearings on activities of the Christian Front and the Christian Mobilizers “within two or three days.” The chairman returned to Washington today after a tour through many cities as far west as Chicago, in which he said he gained much valuable information.
