Medical Course for Students of Underdeveloped Lands Opens in Israel

The second medical course for students from developing countries was formally inaugurated at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School here. The course includes students from Nigeria, Mauritius, Camaroons, Ethiopia, Basutoland, Swaziland, Nepal, Uganda, Southern Rhodesia and Cyprus.

The freshman class of 20 students was given a warm welcome today by Israeli officials as well as by one of the 17 second-year students participating in the first course started last year. The students have been provided with scholarships from the World Health Organization.
