Members of the U.S. delegation to last week’s OSCE conference on anti-Semitism confessed to having red faces over a typo in a letter to the conference from President Bush that mixed up the names of Nazi death camps. In his June 17 letter, Bush noted that he and his wife, Laura, had only recently visited “the Nazi death camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald.” The Bushes, however, visited the complex of Auschwitz-Birkenau, in southern Poland.
