Welfare Minister Joseph Burg left today for Poland where he will represent the Israel Government at the unveiling Sunday of a memorial to the victims of the Auschwitz death camp at the camp site.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the Israel Government appreciated the invitation to participate in the commemoration at the unveiling for "the millions of our brethren who perished in Auschwitz and other extermination camps" of the Nazis during World War II. Dr. Burg will go to Warsaw and from there to Cracow, which is in the vicinity of the Auschwitz camp site.
